    Why use Kellogg's® Rice Krispies®?

As the first crisped rice cereal, Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® has been bringing families together in the kitchen for over 80 years.

To experience the timeless flavor, make your Rice Krispies Treats® squares with the original Rice Krispies® brand cereal.

    Where to buy

1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.

2. Add KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal. Stir until well coated.

3. Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cool slightly. Using small round cookie cutters coated with cooking spray cut into circles.

4. Place eight to nine circles next to each other, forming caterpillars. Decorate with frosting and/or candies. Best if served the same day.

MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:
In microwave-safe bowl heat butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Follow steps 2 thru 4 above. Microwave cooking times may vary.

Note

For best results, use fresh marshmallows.

1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme can be substituted for marshmallows.

Diet, reduced calorie or tub margarine is not recommended.

Store no more than two days at room temperature in airtight container. To freeze, place in single layer on wax paper in airtight container. Freeze for up to 6 weeks. Let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.

I have 16 month twin girls, and whenjust started to learn to pick up foods, I remember as a child they would stick to your tounge. I bought a box from the store. I put some on there tray and in no time the figured out that they could lick their fingers touch the Rice Krispies and they would kling to their fingers. They have loved them ever since. I wanted to share this photo of them recently with some Rice Krispies. I stepped away long enough to grab them some socks, and they decided to get some Rice Krispies out of the cabinet . See picture for rest of the story. I have more photos if you would love to see them.

1. Little pieces of fruit roll-up snacks, like Yogos Rollers, work great to form the antennas on these caterpillar treats.
